Every time you open the software it will check for an update. If one is found, you will be prompted to confirm or ignore the update.
If you ignore it, you will continue using the currently installed version, which may have unfixed bugs.
Upon approving the update, the software will automatically download the updated files and replace them with the appropriate new files. Your existing configuration settings will not be affected. After the new version is installed, it should automatically launch.
